Summer & Patrick Engagement Session | Arden Photography

Summer and Patrick have been together for over a year and a half and will be married in June at Windwood Equestrian. This sweet couple both attended Auburn University where they became friends after Patrick joined Summer’s group of friends. After spending amiable amounts of time in each other’s company and a long road trip to the Florida Keys, Patrick’s consistency and devotion convinced Summer that there is no one else she’d rather be with; thus beginning the journey of Patrick pursuing Summer’s heart.

Patrick waited patiently for Summer to see the light and that he was the one for her for almost three years. One day, Patrick flew to Africa for 13 weeks, and something changed in Summer’s heart that never left. When Summer and Patrick reunited, Patrick was so shocked by the difference in Summer’s interactions that he waited a month before asking her to be his girlfriend, and they’ve been together ever since.

They both enjoy exercising, spending time outdoors, a healthy lifestyle, worshipping, and being social. Their ideal date would start out with a workout session, followed by smoothies from Kale Me Crazy, then trying a new, adventurous experience together, and finally, cuddling while reading the Word together.

When asked to describe one another. Patrick described Summer as: consistent, loyal, patient, kind, and supportive; while Summer described Patrick as: uplifting, fun, fiery, positive, and honest/real. By watching their sweet interactions, you can truly tell that this lovely couple are meant for one another as they both shared that they could not live without the presence of God and interaction with family and friends.

Summer is most excited about the reception and spending time with Patrick after the wedding, while Patrick is can’t wait to “seal the deal” and say “I do.” Stating that he cannot wait “to marry the woman of [his] dreams.” I am so excited to continue to photograph Summer and Patrick’s journey, and I am so thankful to have been chosen to be a part of their big day.
